Mountain Alice

Mountain Alice is an Ozark country string band based out of Northwest Arkansas. Alice, who fronts the band with pure, strong, and unique vocals, draws influence from the likes of Carole King, Patty Loveless, and Allison Kraus. She moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in April 2022 to pursue a music career after being exposed to bluegrass music through the Iowa hippie jam band scene. The band is composed of Alice, Christopher “Slim” Parker, and Jennifer Parker, and Chuck Onofrio. Together the band creates a country sound that is authentic to Ozark mountain music and traditional country acoustic music of the 60s and 70s. Each member's songwriting is authentically soulful and moving. “Slim” Parker’s archtop guitar lead draws from the influences of Texas swing, traditional Nashville Country, and acoustic Deep South blues. Chuck’s fiddle boasts the true sound of Ozark Mountain Music, singing rich, lustrous traditionally based fiddle resonances. Jennifer’s solid and confident upright bass playing, grounds the band with foundational bluegrass tempo, timing, and groove.
